Lady Selene hosted her first ever event with Duchess Lola providing the music.  Her sweet decorations put us in a joyful mood.

Beach Party!! 7-25-11

Crown Princess Daisy created an awesome beach for us all to enjoy. Lady Laini and DJ Queen Ame threw a best in beachwear event to get things rolling! Check out the background! Such a fantastic job. Loving it! The contest board started out with L$300 prize winnings but by the end of the night it was up to L$1200 thanks to everyone contributing to it. Lucky Griff won the event!

Divine Blood has moved sims!

Please check your notices for the new landmark! Our old sim was too large for our needs so we have moved. As Counselor Kumani so eloquently put it, the people make Divine what it is, not the sim. That is just geography.  Daisy and Chris have been working tirelessly to make sure we all are comfortable at the new area. Please be sure to thank them! As we adjust to the changes the classes and events might be a little off. Please bare with us. On a personal note, I won't be posting as often for the next few days due to RL school finals. I will have some really big posts when I finish!!

Soul Swappin

So you want your minion's soul do ya? Well there are two ways to get it. If the current soul owner is willing, you can reap it from them using a reaper. This usually involves a trade. Make sure you decide on which souls you are trading before the deal is done. When you initiate a soul reap, you'll get a menu of the first 25 avatars within 20 meters. The range is not longer than this, because you'll need to be relatively close to the other avatar to use the Soul Reaper.
When you select an avatar that possesses souls, you'll get a menu asking you if you would like to take a specific soul or any soul. If you select any soul, the first soul they collected that isn't yours will be selected. You can't take back your own soul. If the only soul the targeted avatar owns is yours, the soul reap will be denied. If you select a specific soul, then you will have to chat the name of the soul you want to take.
*** You cannot Reap/own your own soul, under any circumstances in the game. You can get your soul returned to you via Potions, but it will never appear as an 'owned' soul on your profile. Hence the Soul Reaper cannot retrieve your own soul to you. ***
Once a soul is selected, the soul reaper will ask the other avatar for permission to transfer the soul. If they accept, the soul transfer will take place. You can see a soul transfer in this post.

If the current owner will not trade or is no longer online, you have the option of using Electrum. This potion can be used to move a soul from one avatar to another. You can drink this potion yourself, or you can splash it on someone else. Whoever drinks the potion or has it splashed on them is the one whose soul is being moved.
If you are drinking the potion, the avatar you wish to receive your soul must be within 20 meters and must agree to the transaction. The person who currently owns your soul does not need to approve or be present. The avatar you select to receive your soul will have to choose a soul to ransom back to your current soul holder in order to receive your soul.
If you are splashing the potion on someone else, then you are the avatar receiving their soul, and you must select a soul to ransom back to their current soul holder in order to receive their soul. The person you are splashing it on must agree to this transaction, and must be within 20 meters. This magical potion can only be used once every 90 days. The player must drink it thusly:

To use the Electrum potion, just right-click it in your inventory and select 'wear'. It will attach to your hand and check in with our system.
Then, touch the potion to get the menu of functions:

1. Taste :: Take a sip to make sure it's real Electrum!
2. Drink :: Drink it!
3. Cork :: recork the bottle
4. Uncork :: remove the cork and start magical particle effect.
5. OR Splash:: Splash it on someone else.

There are no freebies!!! You must have a soul to exchange even though you just paid L$999 for the potion!! Bummer!

Grunge Strip Event and Bloodlines News

Queen Ame held her monthly strip event last Saturday.  This time it was Grunge themed.  Two new strippers (Laini and Mackie) were added to the lineup with veterans Druss and Freya making it an even four. As usual awesome tunes were playing, jokes, teasing, and super sexy emotes were enjoyed by all. Kumani upped the prize winnings to L$1000.  What a nice surprise when she won with a whopping seven votes!

Field Trip: Casanova's Lounge

While the men were off at a strip club, the ladies hit Casanova's Lounge to watch the Chippendale Dancers. Super sexy and lots of fun, these dancers made sure the ladies of Divine had a great time! Our own Kendall along with Darkness, Easy, Matt, the blonde guy (I forgot his name!) and Veritas (check out his blog here) put on a fantastic show. We will definitely be going back!

What makes a good liege?

I was going to do a post today about the Prom Event or the recent Masquerade Ball or the field trip to the strip clubs we had. But the hot topic around Divine seems to be a debate concerning what is expected of a liege. I attended a recent liege class we held and the general consensus was:

1. Teach the new minion the basics of Bloodlines: How their HUD works, how to eat an apple, don't wear fangs or claws, don't bite people until  turned.
2. Give them a tour of the lands. Don't just dump people leaving it to other clan members to take care of. Spend some time with them. We are not a burn and turn clan. We are a family
3. Help them with their avatar if they are noobs. We have plenty of free skins, shapes, and ao's in our new member packet as well on clan lands.
4. Attend the new member orientation with new minions. This shouldn't be in replace of the liege teaching them. This goes for the classes as well. They are to enhance what the liege has already been teaching or mentoring.
5. Communication is key. If for some reason you don't get along, use the chain of command to avoid drama.
6. Most of us agreed each new minion should be a blood doll at least a week to learn how Bloodlines works. Learning how SL works is hard enough without adding the pressure of hunting and feeding on top of it.
7. What a liege isn't expected to do- give gifts, provide a home, feed a lazy vamp or lycan. That is being used and should not be a requirement.  Some lieges can provide these things, but don't expect it. Oh! And sex. Not required to have the sexy sexy with the minions.

A large black box in the sky held such wonderous things! Peek inside and what to find? A BDSM dungeon of course! While Lady Krystal could not hold her event due to illness, Countess Sky stepped in to save the day with DJ Sal supplying the tunes. He usually plays an assortment of heavy metal songs and has a vast knowledge base of music as well.  I always learn something new or hear a new version of a song. Liege appreciation event

Duchess Lara put out a shitload of money on this event. Top three lieges each got either a tank or a prism. She also paid out L$300 on another board to the top liege or doll. Sadly, some people bitched and moaned about the winnings, being greedy fuckers, and trying to manipulate the event. She did such an AMAZING job in this new club and got so little tips. It's a shame some people have to ruin it. You know who you are. And now you are on all our shit lists.

Fairy Fantasia

Newly promoted Lady Krystal blew us all away with her Fairy Fantasia event. It seems the mentoring program is a huge success under the guidance of Queen Ame and Duchess Raven. The new L&L are jamming along with these awesome event ideas! Loving it!

"The Crow"

Duchess Lara created yet another phenomenal platform for this creative event.  She mentored newly promoted Lady Rubicscube to host this party based on the movie, "The Crow". Dressed in goth costumes we all were amazed at the time, effort and sheer talent Lara exudes. Kumani delighted us all dressed as a giant ear of corn, but Suze won the event for her awesome protrayal of the female lead in the movie.

Weird AV

Lady Laini held this event even before she was promoted! Queen Ame DJ'd while we all danced on the castle roof.  Some really freaky AV's showed up.  Princess Freya's all you can eat pancake man avatar won the event. Here are some of the weirdos:

Super Heroes and Villians

Sky and Raven teamed up for yet another awesome event! This time we donned our tights and secret identities for the super hero and villian event! Catwoman, Superman, Batman, Poison Ivy were there as well as some new names like Cumspot, Condom Queen, and Captain Cock. Supahoar was there too but in a different costume.

Greased Lightning!!

Sky and Raven held a Greased Lightning Event at Divine's own racetrack recently! We danced on hot rods, racers, and looked damned sexy doing so.  Neilty won the event this time around.

Masquerade Ball

Today at 2PM SLT we will be hosting a Masquerade Ball with L$1000 on the board.  This will be an open sim event so anyone is welcome to attend. Invite your friends from other clans and non Bloodlines players too! Be courteous please!

Summer Solstice/Litha Event

On the longest night of the year we celebrated the Summer Solstice for the Northern Hemisphere. Gathering on a platform, we all wore our summer clothes and danced to DJ Baroness Lola. After the winner was announced, (Rick won for his junk exposing shorts!) Princess Freya held a pagan Litha ritual amid Stonehenge. A bonfire was rezzed and we all danced like good pagans do (some skyclad).

For those who have been visiting the Fishing at Divine and you go there today you will see that we have moved.  The new area is almost completely set up to make it suitable for those who are clan members and non  clan members.

The contest will I hope generate some linden revenue for the clan with the purchase of bait from the vendors and or rods by clan members and guest.  Any profit from the fishing area after expenses will be donated back to Divine Blood to cover the cost of operating the sim.

This is a way for you and your friends to help the Divine Blood and have some fun. 

There are fishing contest held daily all over 2nd Life where people can win as low as L$100 up to and over L$1000 or more.

Our contest will have a standard prize at first of L$300 with a pot that people can add to the pot to increase the amount up for grabs.  The total pot will be split 5 way to the top 5 people who are on the board in different and varying amounts.  Contest will last from 45 to 60 minutes long in a peaceful setting at Divine.  Friends from outside the sim are invited and there is for them a garlic dispenser available at the landing point along with a vendor and a chance to join Divine Fishing.

Divine Lady Ezzidq Mirabella one of our newest Royals and others into the fishing game will be holding information sessions to answer your questions about fishing.

Yes it does cost to join fishing and get into it and keep it going but your winning could bring you extra lindens through winning prizes at contest that are held on SL which is what our will be. 

For the month of July from July 4th to 31 clan members can purchase from one of the fishing vendors a "Pro Rod" L$250 and a "Mega Bucket of Bait" L$600 and get a small rebate of L$85 to defray the cost of getting started.  Also any future bait purchases for the same period till July 31st a small rebate of the bait less cost will be return.  This rebate is only available to clan members who purchase from the vendors on Divine only and not anyone outside of the sim.

Now in order to start winning at the fishing contest and see your name on the board you need to be at level 5 so you have to do some practice fishing with your new rod and bait once you hit level 5 you can go to 7seas social chat and visit any of the contest for fishing posted there where you could win lindens that you can spend at Divine buying more bait.

When you do buy bait IM Ezziedq Mirabella with your purchase and we will get your rebate back to you as soon as possible.  Let's Get Fishing!!!
