All times are PST or Second Life Time.  The events and classes are subject to change and more may be added as well. Standard Bloodlines Classes being taught this week are by the Barons/Baronesses.  Next week are the mentor classes taught by the Dukes/Duchesses.

Bon Jovi Concert

Divine held another awesome concert Friday night. This time around it was Bon Jovi!! From their first single Runaway in 1984  to their latest hit What Do You Got? they are one of the best bands to hit the airwaves.  Thanks so much to Leggzz Brandi for sending me these pictures. It looks like it was a fantastic concert.

Would You Like to Be a Royal for Divine?

With the new promotions people are frequently asking what are the requirements to become a royal for Divine.  The Dukes/Duchesses (Ethan, Tar, Shayne, Freya) teach the three mentors courses every other week.  Attendance is taken and noted on our Google document.  If you are not there from beginning to end you do not get credit for being there. We offer these throughout the week at various times to accomodate all the clan members.  You do not have to take them in order.  Making a notecard of each class is highly recommended.  Note: these are NOT the basic Bloodlines courses the Barons/Baronesses teach. 

After taking the three mentor courses you will be scheduled to take the 22 questions Royal Exam which is based on the information given in the three courses.  You can miss up to four questions and still pass.  If you do not pass the test you can study and retake it until you pass.  Being a vampire or lycan is not a requirement for being a royal.  You can be a blood doll and still hold the position.

Please note: Passing the test does not guarantee a royal position. You will be observed to see how active you are within the clan, if you attend events, helping others, etc.  Promotions are not immediate and patience is a virtue. (Freya and Ethan waited 6 weeks to become L&L).  If there are positions available the King and Queen will review those who have passed and make the selections.

If you are selected as a royal you start out as a Lord/Lady.  This title requires that you hold at least one event per week either hosting or DJing. There is also no guarantee that you will be promoted within "x" amount of time.  There are a limited amount of positions available and promotions occur when there is a vacancy.  Knights are required to take the three mentor courses since they are in the royals group as well.

What to do when the DJ loses her stream at an event? Play U Know of course!  Lara lost her stream at her Ghetto Steampunk event last week so Skyler broke out her game table and we played a few rounds while we waited.  If you haven't played- it is very much like the card game Uno from the 1980's.

Teddy Bear Picnic

Newly promoted Lady Venus held her first event for the clan.  She held a teddy bear picnic with DJ Luna providing the music.  Counselor Kumani added an extra $L300 to the prize money for a grand total of $L600.  JT won the event with his teddy bear costume. Great job Venus!

Bored on Second Life?

There is no excuse for being bored on Second Life.   I cringe when people say they are bored. If you are bored- it's your own fault! There are so many things to do!!!

Divine Blood hosts a variety of events weekly along with our classes.  Also, many of our members are hosts/hostesses, dancers or DJ's at clubs throughout Second Life. The Second Life website lists an events calendar too. 


You can sort and organize your inventory to make room for more goodies! You can join Midnight Mania groups that inform you of MM boards to tap.  There are hunts to do for other free things. If you want to see what is offered in a hunt I found this website. Flickr has lots of groups that show Second Life freebies as well like http://www.flickr.com/groups/607733@N23/ , http://www.flickr.com/groups/slfashionshows/ , and http://www.flickr.com/groups/1030219@N24/ are some of the larger groups. 

You can do a search for groups, or places to role play.  If you enjoy fighting there are DCS and Spellfire groups. You can also join a Bloodlines War group with your fellow vampires.  A group of my friends enjoy playing Assassins Grid.  It's free to get started! You can find a variety of these weapons on the Marketplace.

Do a search under the Places tab for anything that might interest you like , old west, Disneyland, romantic parks, forests, Viking, Roman, or the sky is the limit with lots of outer space locations.  Most major cities have their own sim to explore.

If you want to learn to build your own items in Second Life there are classes you can take.  Or you can look on YouTube for tutorials. There are also tons of in game tutorials if you search.  No room to build? Go to a sandbox!

There are gaming sims.  Some charge to play, some don't.  There are fishing games too! You can watch movies on Second Life.  You can also make movies of your Second Life.  You can attend DJ school and learn to DJ.  You can help new members just joining Second Life at the various Info Hubs. There are also charity events you can volunteer to help with all the time.

And if all else fails- there is always sex on SL. Lots and lots of sex.  Need Landmarks for that? Ask Prince Pad, our Stoner Cowboy.

Beach Party 1-18-11

Newly promoted Count Kane and Countess Lunafire held a Beach Party event.  After a slow start the place was packed with bikinis and swim trunks.  Baroness Lara served up drinks at the Tiki Bar while others hit the kegs.  Laini returned after a 3 month hiatus for a nice family reunion.  The party was over when Luna pulled up the floor and we all plummeted to the ground. Good thing we're already dead. *winks*

Roller Disco

Lady Lola did an awesome job capturing the 70's with her roller disco event.  DavidMichael shared his giant fro with us as we did his crazy dance in the corner.  KT kept us all updated on the Miss America pagent while we listened to the BeeGee's, Gloria Gaynor, Queen, Cher, and KC & The Sunshine Band to mention a few.

Dante and Tuffie tied to win this event. Great job Lola!!! Loved it!
