Paranormal Sundays!

Real life has been crazy for me lately but I did manage to attend one event on Sunday.  Lady Kumani hosted the first of her on-going Paranormal Sunday events.  This past week the topic was Auras and Chakras.  She did an AMAZING job teaching us all about colors, meanings, how to cleanse our chakras, how to read auras, etc. Just a wealth of information! Her event is open to believers and those wanting to learn more.  She just asks that you be respectful of others. Questions are encouraged!

 For those that don't know, Kumani has dedicated her adult life to educating herself on the occult and paranormal.  She is highly knowledgeable and a great resource for those wanting to know more on these subjects. 

The other new Lords and Ladies are also hosting fantastic events and I hope to attend some of them very soon and share them with you!

Promotion Ceremony

On Sunday, August 13, Crown Princess Daisy and Crown PRince Jerod hosted the latest royals promotion ceremony. It was a light hearted event with a fantastic crowd of our members.

Duchess Raven started out the ceremony announcing the newest royals, the Lords and Ladies.

Congrats to Kat Gracemount, Griffith Nightfire, MissCea Resident, Airlia Resident, Everythingblacklam2911 Resident, and Kumani Wylder for completing the three mentor classes, passing the royals exam, helping other members, and being active in the clan.

Next up was Rubicscube Resident promoted to the position of Countess (shown above).  Christabellouise "Skylah" Resident was promoted to the position of Baroness but was absent for the ceremony.

Christophe Stratten was promoted to Duke.

Two long time members, Tar and Lara, were promoted to the Prince and Princess group.  Lara Darkbyrd was busy RL and missed the ceremony.  Tar had trouble rezzing and now has the nickname the naked prince.

Congrats again to all those who were promoted.

Weddings!

August is definitely a month for weddings at Divine. I've seen five on the schedule so far! If you plan on tying the knot soon, please contact Crown Princess Daisy for one of her phenomenal wedding or handfasting packages. All proceeds go towards land tiers. :-)

Whatta Weekend!!

Wipe your to do list clean and get on SL for a fun-filled weekend!!Starting tonight at 6PM SLT we have the incredible Lord of the Rings event!

 On Saturday we have the oh so naughty Cock Idol contest @ 2PM, a special rez day party @ 4PM, another special clan member event @ 7PM, with two classes taught by Baron Chris in the morning.

 Sunday will be the awe inspiring Steampunk event @ 2PM.

Queen of the Damned Event

Hosted by Countess Skylah and DJ'd by Duchess Raven, this fantastic vampire event was based on the incredible Queen of the Damned movie.  Awesome tunes from the soundtrack set the mood as we all discussed our favorite parts of the movie.

VEGA$ EVENT

Organized by Duchess Raven and Crown Princess Daisy, this clan fundraiser had tons of volunteers and lasted from 1PM - 8PM SLT. Starting out with the Showgirls, followed by a two hour Cher (Kumani)concert, a two hour Dolly Parton (Everythingblacklam) concert, a two hour Elvis (Kendall) concert, the Spice Girls (Daisy, Kumani, Lola, Laini, Leggzz) in concert, a strip off males (Chris and Kendall) vs.  females (Freya and Everythingblacklam), a naked mud wrestling quickie (Daisy vs. Freya), Tom Jones (Druss) concert, and a Showgirls (Freya, Kumani, Lola, Rubicscube, Laini, Amethyst, Tagthis) finale!

Best in Fairytale

Hosted by Lady Rubicscube, decorated and DJ'd by Duchess Lara, this Best in Fairytale was definitely magical!

Lady Selene hosted her first ever event with Duchess Lola providing the music.  Her sweet decorations put us in a joyful mood.

Beach Party!! 7-25-11

Crown Princess Daisy created an awesome beach for us all to enjoy. Lady Laini and DJ Queen Ame threw a best in beachwear event to get things rolling! Check out the background! Such a fantastic job. Loving it! The contest board started out with L$300 prize winnings but by the end of the night it was up to L$1200 thanks to everyone contributing to it. Lucky Griff won the event!

Divine Blood has moved sims!

Please check your notices for the new landmark! Our old sim was too large for our needs so we have moved. As Counselor Kumani so eloquently put it, the people make Divine what it is, not the sim. That is just geography.  Daisy and Chris have been working tirelessly to make sure we all are comfortable at the new area. Please be sure to thank them! As we adjust to the changes the classes and events might be a little off. Please bare with us. On a personal note, I won't be posting as often for the next few days due to RL school finals. I will have some really big posts when I finish!!

Soul Swappin

So you want your minion's soul do ya? Well there are two ways to get it. If the current soul owner is willing, you can reap it from them using a reaper. This usually involves a trade. Make sure you decide on which souls you are trading before the deal is done. When you initiate a soul reap, you'll get a menu of the first 25 avatars within 20 meters. The range is not longer than this, because you'll need to be relatively close to the other avatar to use the Soul Reaper.
When you select an avatar that possesses souls, you'll get a menu asking you if you would like to take a specific soul or any soul. If you select any soul, the first soul they collected that isn't yours will be selected. You can't take back your own soul. If the only soul the targeted avatar owns is yours, the soul reap will be denied. If you select a specific soul, then you will have to chat the name of the soul you want to take.
*** You cannot Reap/own your own soul, under any circumstances in the game. You can get your soul returned to you via Potions, but it will never appear as an 'owned' soul on your profile. Hence the Soul Reaper cannot retrieve your own soul to you. ***
Once a soul is selected, the soul reaper will ask the other avatar for permission to transfer the soul. If they accept, the soul transfer will take place. You can see a soul transfer in this post.

If the current owner will not trade or is no longer online, you have the option of using Electrum. This potion can be used to move a soul from one avatar to another. You can drink this potion yourself, or you can splash it on someone else. Whoever drinks the potion or has it splashed on them is the one whose soul is being moved.
If you are drinking the potion, the avatar you wish to receive your soul must be within 20 meters and must agree to the transaction. The person who currently owns your soul does not need to approve or be present. The avatar you select to receive your soul will have to choose a soul to ransom back to your current soul holder in order to receive your soul.
If you are splashing the potion on someone else, then you are the avatar receiving their soul, and you must select a soul to ransom back to their current soul holder in order to receive their soul. The person you are splashing it on must agree to this transaction, and must be within 20 meters. This magical potion can only be used once every 90 days. The player must drink it thusly:

To use the Electrum potion, just right-click it in your inventory and select 'wear'. It will attach to your hand and check in with our system.
Then, touch the potion to get the menu of functions:

1. Taste :: Take a sip to make sure it's real Electrum!
2. Drink :: Drink it!
3. Cork :: recork the bottle
4. Uncork :: remove the cork and start magical particle effect.
5. OR Splash:: Splash it on someone else.

There are no freebies!!! You must have a soul to exchange even though you just paid L$999 for the potion!! Bummer!

Grunge Strip Event and Bloodlines News

Queen Ame held her monthly strip event last Saturday.  This time it was Grunge themed.  Two new strippers (Laini and Mackie) were added to the lineup with veterans Druss and Freya making it an even four. As usual awesome tunes were playing, jokes, teasing, and super sexy emotes were enjoyed by all. Kumani upped the prize winnings to L$1000.  What a nice surprise when she won with a whopping seven votes!

Field Trip: Casanova's Lounge

While the men were off at a strip club, the ladies hit Casanova's Lounge to watch the Chippendale Dancers. Super sexy and lots of fun, these dancers made sure the ladies of Divine had a great time! Our own Kendall along with Darkness, Easy, Matt, the blonde guy (I forgot his name!) and Veritas (check out his blog here) put on a fantastic show. We will definitely be going back!

What makes a good liege?

I was going to do a post today about the Prom Event or the recent Masquerade Ball or the field trip to the strip clubs we had. But the hot topic around Divine seems to be a debate concerning what is expected of a liege. I attended a recent liege class we held and the general consensus was:

1. Teach the new minion the basics of Bloodlines: How their HUD works, how to eat an apple, don't wear fangs or claws, don't bite people until  turned.
2. Give them a tour of the lands. Don't just dump people leaving it to other clan members to take care of. Spend some time with them. We are not a burn and turn clan. We are a family
3. Help them with their avatar if they are noobs. We have plenty of free skins, shapes, and ao's in our new member packet as well on clan lands.
4. Attend the new member orientation with new minions. This shouldn't be in replace of the liege teaching them. This goes for the classes as well. They are to enhance what the liege has already been teaching or mentoring.
5. Communication is key. If for some reason you don't get along, use the chain of command to avoid drama.
6. Most of us agreed each new minion should be a blood doll at least a week to learn how Bloodlines works. Learning how SL works is hard enough without adding the pressure of hunting and feeding on top of it.
7. What a liege isn't expected to do- give gifts, provide a home, feed a lazy vamp or lycan. That is being used and should not be a requirement.  Some lieges can provide these things, but don't expect it. Oh! And sex. Not required to have the sexy sexy with the minions.
