Embrace Your Inner Neko

Lady Acesona hosted a ctue Neko party recently. Set up in a giant kitty, we all wore our special tails and played with the various emotes on them.  Everyone looked adorable, but Leigh took home the prize for Best Neko!

Thirsty Thursday: Update Board

An incredibly useful item to know about in Bloodlines is the Update Board.  All you have to do is go to any Bloodlines compatible sim and tap it. (Divine Blood has one in each turning room).  It will automatically scan your avatar for Bloodlines Products and send you any updated items you may need.  This is an awesome tool for those players that have been out of the Bloodlines game for a while and do not have the most recent (3.4) Thirst HUDs. You can also tap the board in case your recently purchased items are not delivered in a timely manner.

The Update Board will scan for Thirst, Rage, and War items. I often check it to make sure I haven't acccidentally deleted recent items and kept the old ones!

Mafia Wars Land Tier Event

Rubi, Sky, and many others held the land tier event on February 2, 2012.  With an exciting lineup of events including a Paintball Fight/Mafia Wars followed by Poker. Next up were five sexy ladies (Ace, Khimie, Eve, Sky and Freya) dressed to entertain as the Flapper Showgirls for an hour. Then wrapping up the huge event was the Strippers Brothel Auction hosted by Princess Val!

Thanks to everyone who helped, contributed, and came out to support the clan!

Full Moon Fever!

Feeling a little wild? A little frisky? Perhaps you can't sleep? A strange feeling is in the air during a full moon they say.  Many strange occurrences are attributed to a full moon.

In their article, Lunacy and the Full Moon, Scott O. Lilienfield and Hal Arkowitz question if a full moon really does trigger strange behavior. "Across the centuries, many a person has uttered the phrase “There must be a full moon out there” in an attempt to explain weird happenings at night. Indeed, the Roman goddess of the moon bore a name that remains familiar to us today: Luna, prefix of the word “lunatic.” Greek philosopher Aristotle and Roman historian Pliny the Elder suggested that the brain was the “moistest” organ in the body and thereby most susceptible to the pernicious influences of the moon, which triggers the tides. Belief in the “lunar lunacy effect,” or “Transylvania effect,” as it is sometimes called, persisted in Europe through the Middle Ages, when humans were widely reputed to transmogrify into werewolves or vampires during a full moon."

Whether you choose to believe these theories or not, I will be posting information each month about the full moon.  I will update on the first two full moons of the year since they have already passed.

Full Moon names date back to Native Americans, of what is now the northern and eastern United States. The tribes kept track of the seasons by giving distinctive names to each recurring full Moon. Their names were applied to the entire month in which each occurred. There was some variation in the Moon names, but in general, the same ones were current throughout the Algonquin tribes from New England to Lake Superior. European settlers followed that custom and created some of their own names. 

• Full Wolf Moon – January Amid the cold and deep snows of midwinter, the wolf packs howled hungrily outside Indian villages. Thus, the name for January’s full Moon. Sometimes it was also referred to as the Old Moon, or the Moon After Yule. Some called it the Full Snow Moon, but most tribes applied that name to the next Moon.

• Full Snow Moon – February Since the heaviest snow usually falls during this month, native tribes of the north and east most often called February’s full Moon the Full Snow Moon. Some tribes also referred to this Moon as the Full Hunger Moon, since harsh weather conditions in their areas made hunting very difficult.

Thirsty Thursday: Sarcophagus

The Sarcophagus (L$599)  is the lycan equivalent to the Vampire's Coffin.  This item allows you to send lumens to your offline minions and friends who need a bit of moonlight to survive. Bloodlines explains it like this:

 A lycan essential, the Sarcophagus allows you to send Lumens to anyone, directly from your prisms, even if they're offline. You can even get in it and use it to refill yourself. The Sarcophagus includes a reclining animation and chat commands for convenience.

I found it to be a bit tricky the first time I used it. You must follow the instructions carefully for it to work.  All you really need to know is the transfer menu. 

Menu

There are 5 menu options:

1. Help : reminds you of available chat commands
2. Poseball : hides / shows poseball
3. Door: opens / closes door
4. Animation: select custom animation. Animations must be named [animationname]_sarcophagus. Once you drag and drop your animation into the contents of the sarcophagus, select this option to choose your new animation that plays when you sit in the sarcophagus.
5. Transfer : transfer Lumens. To transfer Lumens follow this sequence:
   1. Select Transfer on main menu
   2. DO NOT SELECT NEXT (transfer will fail)
   3. touch the prism you want to transfer vital lumens from (must be within 10 meters)
   4. select 'Select' on prism menu
   5. NOW select Next
   6. Type the first and last name of the avatar you would like to send to
   7. Select 'Done' on the menu
   8. Select the amount you would like to transfer.

Thirsty Thursday: The Badge

Within the Bloodlines game, there are certain items that are essential, like the HUD.  Some are useful, like the Spike and Reaper.  Then there are others that are purely for show, like The Badge. 

 Selling for L$199, The Badge is worn on the avatar and shows your Bloodlines rank.  It is auto-updating so the image shown will change as your earned rank goes up or down. Check out my super cool vadge below. Er, BADGE. 

If you like to hang out at the Bloodlines sims and flaunt your soul count, the Badge is the perfect accessory! You can show off your awesome stats, point to yourself and sing "I'm Awesome! I'm Awesome! Your Mom Says I'm Awesome!"  

Schedule of Events and Classes February 6-12, 2012

This week includes Greedy on Tuesday, Horror Party in the Graveyard on Thursday, and a Studio 54 Disco Party on Saturday! Club Divine is still going strong and has lots of events there as well!  Classes are ongoing as needed.  This week the Dukes and Duchesses are teaching so be sure to contact one of them if you are interested in a class.

Spotlight On: Valerie and Chris

Recently our own Princess Firekitten, Valerie, married her British Naval Officer, Chris in a beautiful ceremony filled with attendees from many different clans.  Although lag nearly was horrible, they pulled it off after reciting their own vows. Congrats Val and Chris!!!

Congrats to our new Lords and Ladies!

Although we didn't have a promotion ceremony, these individuals worked just as hard as any of our royals to attain their new role.  Please extend a hearty congrats to our newest L&L:

Thirsty Thursday: The Fortune Hunt

It's finally here!! The Fortune Hunt I wrote about back in December has finally arrived! This one looks like it is a blast!

All you need in order to start hunting for treasures is the Adventure HUD (Heads-Up Display). The right-most button on the HUD is the 'Dig' button. Just press the dig button, and if you're on a region that's been discovered, you'll get a message letting you know how far away the closest treasure is, and a marker will appear on the map on your HUD that will give you some information that will help you find the treasure. The blue marker on your map indicates your position on your current region. If your current region has not yet been discovered, then you can discover it using a Fortune Hunt claim flag!

There is a limited number of items you can find each day on each region with each map. If you find all of the items on a given region, you can either switch to a new map and keep seeking, or go to a new region.
