Ah yes, hello neglected blog. I've missed you! I was going to do my regular schedule of events yesterday but all that seems to be happening is Leigh teaching her little heart out this week. L&L need to learn to use the Google Docs!


I took the weekend off SL for Thanksgiving with family and fun. Things were pretty slow and dramafree. The clan has been that way for some time now.   Until Sunday night that is.  King Darrell got down on one knee in clan chat and proposed partnership to Tar. One thing is for sure- D has a sense of humor and knows how to have fun. Speaking of fun- Daisy and Str's naked wedding this weekend! Daisy knows how to have fun too. ;-)


The sim is transforming into a Winter Wonderland. Daisy has put up naughty Santa once again! There is also a quote board at the landing spot for those funny quotes in clan chat. The orgy platform has new items as well including a strip Greedy game thanks to Christophe. Otis has another round of the Divine Calendar contest going. Tar is putting up a Divine History photo display in the castle.

Thirsty Thursday: Amulets

Happy Thanksgiving to our American members.  Be blessed and stuff yourselves!

Amulets are offered in varying prices and durations.  They are a good investment if you are going on vacation/holiday or are going to be away from the game for a longer duration of time.

This one offers five day protection and sells for $L249.

This one offers 14 day protection and sells for L$499.

This one offers protection for 30 days and sells for L$999.

In the Bloodlines world, the vampire Curse takes away a small portion of your vital blood every day, hence the need to constantly feed on mortals in order to survive. The Amulet protects a vampire from the effects of the Curse - in this case it will protect the first person to wear or rez the amulet forever!  The Amulet need not be worn constantly to take effect - once rezzed or worn its effects will begin to work, and the piece itself can be put back into the inventory. Be sure which avatar you wish to protect with Amulet however - once rezzed, the protection can NOT be transferred to another avatar.

The forever amulet offers protection from the Curse forever and sells for L$7999. If you do the math, it pays for itself in 572 days. (L$14 a day for an apple to replenish your doll for each bite.  You need to bite once a day to refill the blood taken by the Curse.  If you are a hybrid, the amulet pays for itself in half the time.)

The forever amulet is very large as you can see so I don't wear it daily. You don't have to! It keeps you protected from the curse regardless!
*Note: If you own the Rage Totem you do not need the amulet. It protects on both sides.

BDSM Orgy

For a subbie, Daisy sure did run the show at the BDSM orgy! The Hotwife chair was a hit with everyone as the men took turns being dominated and ridiculed by Daisy.  I don't think Rick and I have laughed that hard in a long time! Str was a great sport as well.  Christophe did a fantastic job creating this new area.  I hope everyone gets to enjoy it soon!

Spotlight On: Otis Hudson

Otis has been a member of our clan since October 27, 2010.  He came to us after a long hiatus from SL.  He never found anything of much interest to him before but he thought to log in one night and check out the vampire scene.  He contacted Daisy, who then contacted me. After several days of pondering and endless questions, he opted to join. 

He has tirelessly devoted his time to the clan helping new members, helping friends, and most recently creating the Divine Calendar.  This fundraiser has raised over L$80,000 and is still going! He has fantastic leadership ability but has chosen to not become a royal, quietly helping in his own way.  He is also a DJ and often provides music for our events. 

His sarcasm and wit often take me offguard, never knowing if he is serious or not.  His loyalty is also unsurpassed.  Just as our Divine Star, Starry123, Otis is a special clan member and deserving of a special title. I'd love to hear your ideas and input on what his special title should be.

Spotlight On: New Lords and Ladies

Our recent promotion ceremony brought in a huge influx of lords and ladies.  These individuals attended the three required mentors classes and passed our royals exam.  Congrats to them and best of luck with their new duties hosting weekly events and mentoring new clan members!

Veteran's Day

"Freedom is never free."  Thank you to all the veterans and all those still fighting for our freedom.  Thank you for keeping us safe while laying your asses on the line.  Whenever you see a veteran or person in military uniform shake their hand and thank them for their service to our country(ies).

Naked Fishnet Party @ the Naughty Pool

Prince Christophe can't seem to get enough of these naked parties! He and his wife, Lady Eve, hosted this naughty event with a twist- fishnet!  With a whopping L$2000 on the board, we had three winners! Wolfie, Griff and Mizz placed first, second, and third in that order.  We had so much fun and can't wait to do it again!

Thirsty Thursday: Bloodlines Group Ranking

After a recent discussion in clan chat, I thought I would post  how Bloodlines group ranks are determined. After accessing the Bloodlines website click on the "groups" tab. A list of the top Bloodlines groups are listed.  As of yesterday when I took these snapshots, Divine Blood was ranked #9 out of 3085 Bloodlines groups. 

 

The first number listed is all of the vampires (157) + lycans (23) + hybrids (61) = 241 for our clan.  This number determines our Bloodlines rank. 

The second number is our total members including vampires, lycans, hybrids, blood dolls, and destroyed members (currently 1923).

As you can see having healthy vampires, lycans, and hybrids is what brings our rank up.  This is one reason it is important to stay fed.  We also don't want to lose those precious souls to the abyss when going destroyed. Some other clans make alts and feed them through the coffin or sarcophagus to bring up their numbers. You might think that's cheating. Well, it isn't exactly honest but it is allowed.  I am proud to say we have real people behind our numbers!

Pirate Party!

Yeargh and avast me hearties!! Queen Daisy hosted a pirate event with her husband Str spinning the rock tunes!  We had a great time blasting the cannons and passing around the bottle of rum.  There were no pieces of eight but there was linden dollars to be won!

Spotlight On: Counselors

I am resurrecting this idea of spotlighting some of our members with a twist.  I am also including various groups of Divine Blood as well.  This week's Spotlight On shines on our Counselors Group.  These special individuals are all volunteers.  They provide support to our members that are going through a difficult time RL or SL.  They listen without judging, and try to provide solutions to the issue at hand. Following chain of command, the liege or grand liege can be contacted to facilitate a solution if needed.  If further help is needed RL, Leigh Rosenstar, who is studying for her masters degree in psychology, will help guide the person to the resources they need.

Best in Hippie

Lord Griffith and Lady Tagthis hosted the Best in Hippie event with DJ Alex providing the club music.  They went all out with a totally trippy platform.  I took advantage of dancing on the tie-dye painted VW bus. I could never do that real life! They brought in some new friends and we all had a fantastic time!

Blood Doll Appreciation Event

We love our Blood Dolls at Divine Blood! Without them we couldn't survive!! They are an important part of our game.  They supply us with blood or lumens so we can feed.  In honor of them, Baroness Rubi and Princess Lara held a fun event with a dark dolly theme. The prize was split with a 4-way tie.

The Fast and The Furious

Hosted by Lord Viperdrakkar and DJ'd by Alex, this fun event had a L$300 prize and a choice of car or motorcycle! Based on the movie, Viper decorated his platform with all kinds of testosterone filled muscle cars. The large screen behind Alex was an awesome effect that added to the bad ass vibe.  Starry won the event with her super cute leather dress and high boots.
