Gods and Goddesses are not limited to those of Greek and Roman tales. The list of deities goes into the hundreds maybe thousands. These magical tales have touched our lives in many ways. The stories of the stars, of great battles, of creation itself, of love and lovers, of crops and food, of fertility and children.
On Thursday Lady Arna held a Gods and Goddesses event. She did a fantastic job creating this Parthenon of partying! DJ Countess Irish was spinning the tunes as we all embraced our inner God or Goddess. These choices reflected our interest in what aspect we liked about each. Some of the popular themes were love & sexuality, war & warfare, the moon, archangels, children and childbirth, islands and oceans, and fertility.
The impact of these mythological tales was not limited to Rome or Greece. Other popular stories come from Egypt, Celtic, Japanese, and Norse mythology.
Other areas mythological stories originate are Australian, Aboriginal, Chinese, Asian, Japanese, Shinto, Korean, Middle Eastern, Central American, Cretian, Christo-Pagan, Sumerian, Aztec, Phoenician, Zorasterian, Eskimo, Finnish-Ugrian, Indo-European, Arabic, Islamic, Santerian, Mesopotamian, and Streghe.
We had 5 winners take home the winnings from the event. They were Venus, Lunafire, Acharma, Benny and Zelda. I encourage you to seek out some mythological God or Goddess that you connect with for our next event and tell us why you like it. See you on Mt. Olympus!
