This blog tends to take up more of my time than I care to admit. Less than it used to, however. I don't meticulously edit the photos and include everyone's names like before. But I do attend every single event that happens if I am online. I document it. I take photos, I take notes on who hosted, DJ'd, sometimes who won, or something worthwhile that happened while we were there. I will reminisce on what made it special for me too.
Although I doubt most of the clan knows we have a blog, or those that do don't read it. And that's fine. I don't do it for the pat on the back. I learned long ago never to do anything for a pat on the back. I do it because I love my clan. I do it to show where we have been, what we have accomplished, how we have perservered. If it makes you smile or feel something positive, well that is a bonus too.
Many people have come and gone over the years. It happens. Some get butthurt, some expect huge things that are impossible to ever live up to. Some are drama whores. Some have huge egos and try to run things without realizing the endless time and effort involved. Some leave to run their own clans. Some leave and come back. If nothing else I am a seasoned player and I have learned to live with the ebb and flow of it all.
I guess my point is this- Divine is my Second Life. It's all I do. It's all I ever have done. This blog allows me to capture and share the memories with others. I try to include some educational things as well to benefit others in the Bloodlines game. If you ever leave Second Life, I hope you can look back with fond memories the fun you had with us all. And that my friends, is enough for me.
